General Machine Service is known for building custom, quality
blueprint tooling. We have the capability of manufacturing items from
your prints, part samples or our engineers can create custom designs and
prints to your specifications.
Our certified technicians and machinists use state of the art equipment to
manufacture quality parts and components that meet and exceed industry
standards. We also have assembled a team of reliable suppliers and
subcontractors with whom we maintain close and long standing working
relationships.
Since, 1979, General Machine has built a well-earned reputation for
helping customers out of "emergency situations". Quotes are returned on
a timely basis while orders are quickly filled to meet your delivery
requirements.

With the addition of two Omax Abrasive Waterjet machines, we are capable of processing
your order from inception, to blanked raw material, to finished part in a very short time
frame. The waterjet machines can hold tolerances as close as .005 inches, often
directly making a finished part or one that is near net shape.

There are 3 distinct areas within General Machine's organizational structure:
The Engineering Department provides support in the form of manipulating CAD
print formats, determining manufacturing specifications, making suggestions for cost
reduction, alternate material and heat treat selections for increased strength and longer
life expectancy or improved performance criteria. Our engineers process customer's
ideas and concepts into fully functional products and assemblies. Their diverse and
extensive backgrounds often "thinking outside the box", results in creative solutions to
difficult customer problems and needs.
The Machine Shop is the heart of General Machine Service. Precision parts
are made from certified raw materials such as bars, sheets and castings. Parts can
also be modified or altered whichever best suits the customer's needs. Regardless
if it is an order for a quantity of one piece or a thousand pieces, each order is
processed with the same care, precision and attention to detail. Each part is
individually marked with its print, part or item number for easier tracking recognition
once it leaves our facility. Likewise, each part is fully inspected before it is
delivered to ensure compliancy in our state of the art inspection room.
The Fabrication Shop is fully outfitted to blank out raw materials or make
repairs and alterations. It is equipped with the necessary machinery and experienced
technicians to fabricate anything: sawing, shearing, punching, forming, rolling, cutting
and welding. In conjunction with the machine shop, we can fabricate and build almost
anything that our customers require. Our team welcomes challenging problems that
most other shops would not consider.
